Full day of events, including fireworks, at annual Canada Day festivities in Milton

If you’re looking for something fun for the whole family to do on Canada Day, head over to Milton Fairgrounds.

The annual event kicks off with the Veterans Breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon at Victoria Park. Pancakes and sausages, along with peameal on a bun, will be available for purchase by everyone, and veterans eat free.

The rest of the day’s events take place at the fairgrounds, where gates open at noon.

Events taking place throughout the day include face painting, bouncy castles, Top Shot interactive hockey, lawn games, henna artist and arts and crafts.

There will be plenty of food vendors on site, as well as the Royal LePage beer tent.

Entertainment will also be an all-day event at the Tim Hortons Main Stage. Here’s the schedule:

  • Noon: Bollywood Dancers
  • 1:10 p.m. Fighting Griffin Martial Art
  • 2 p.m. Hayley Verral
  • 3 p.m. Tree Top Poets
  • 4 p.m. The Chunky Monkeys
  • 5 p.m. Jessica Sole
  • 6 p.m. Urban Cowboy Line Dancing
  • 7 p.m. Acme Hi-Fi
  • 8 p.m. Canada Day Committee
  • 8:30 p.m. Pulse X

Canada’s Largest Birthday Cake will arrive around 2 p.m. and the day will culminate with a fireworks display after sunset. Gates will close at 10:30.
