Mississauga highrise fire.

At least one condominium unit was seriously damaged when fire broke out at a highrise just south of Square One Shopping Centre in the heart of Mississauga’s downtown core on Thursday night.

Mississauga firefighters said in a post to social media the two-alarm blaze was reported in the early evening inside a condo at 208 Enfield Place, to the southwest of the Burnhamthorpe Road/Hurontario Street intersection.

Mississauga fire officials didn’t say if there were any injuries, nor did they provide any additional details about what might have caused the fire. They didn’t say what floor the fire broke out on, but it was reportedly higher than the 12th storey.

The investigation continues.
