Farm Boy, a growing grocery brand opening new locations across Ontario, has announced new details regarding the grand opening of its Mississauga location.

According to a news release, the new store–set to open at 175 Lakeshore Rd. W. in Port Credit on July 18–will offer a large outdoor patio area and both above and underground parking.

The store, much like other locations, will also offer fresh produce (including local and organic products), hormone-free and organic meat, dairy and other grocery goods, Canadian beef, pork and chicken, a hot bar and a salad bar, grab-and-go items, a curated collection of private label products exclusive to Farm Boy, a wide selection of international and Canadian cheeses and more.

The store will also offer a selection of gluten-free, plant-based, vegan and vegetarian options.

The store will be the brand’s 49th location and the first in Mississauga.

“We’re thrilled to continue expanding in the GTA and introducing the Farm Boy fresh market experience to the Port Credit area,” Shawn Linton, president and general manager of Farm Boy, said in a statement.

“This new location emphasizes our commitment to delivering fresh, quality products, exceptional value, and unparalleled customer service, while fostering a deep connection with the local community.”

In a news release, the brand said it plans to celebrate the grand opening with special offers and giveaways between July 18 and 21.

The store is opening in the new and growing Brightwater community, a 72-acre development that’s taking shape along the city’s waterfront. Last year, Port Credit West Village Partners (PCWVP), the group designing the new community, said Farm Boy will be the area’s new anchor tenant.

Brightwater, once completed, will feature 3,000 new homes, 300,000 square feet of commercial, restaurant, retail and office space, and 18 acres of green space.

Farm Boy, which started as a 300-square-foot produce store in Cornwall, Ont., in 1981, has steadily increased its presence across southern Ontario over the past few years, opening new stores in Toronto, Oakville, Burlington, and Oshawa.
