If you have thoughts about how Milton should spend money next year, now’s the time to share them.

The Town of Milton is inviting residents and businesses to participate in a survey about how to prioritize services and investments for 2025.

“Budget time is very exciting, as the decisions made by Council at the budget meetings shape the future of our community, and determine how fast we get to where we want to be, a complete community,” said Ward 3 councillor Adil Khalqi.

The Capital and Operating Budget supports Council’s strategic vision for the Town through investments made in the community. The budget will be informed by detailed studies and plans undertaken by the Town, as well as the 2022 Citizen Engagement Survey.

The annual budget process provides Council with the opportunity to balance resources to meet the Town’s priorities and deliver services to the community.

The budget is developed according to the following steps:

  • July-August 2024: Initial public engagement seeking priorities for 2025
  • September 2024: Anticipated budget pressures are presented to Council
  • November 2024: Proposed budget available for viewing at Milton.ca and a Council workshop is held
  • December 2024: Council deliberates the budget and the budget is expected to be finalized

The annual budget process provides Council with the opportunity to balance resources to meet the Town’s priorities and deliver services to the community.

Starting today, residents, businesses, and community organizations can share their ideas online at the Let’s Talk Milton website.
