Condo units in Whitby, Oshawa dominate least expensive properties sold in Durham in April

Condominium buildings in Whitby and Oshawa delivered the best real estate bargains in Durham Region last month, with one building in each town accounting for four of the five least expensive properties sold in Durham in April.

At #1 was a 1-bedroom condo unit at 711 Rossland Rd. E. in Whitby (Unit #414) that sold for $460,000 April 12. The north Whitby property is well suited for first-time buyers and empty nesters.

A unit high in the sky at 2550 Simcoe St. N. in Oshawa (Unit #2305) was second, with the 1-bedroom condo changing hands April 9 for $465,000.

The apartment features stainless steel appliance, quartz countertops and great views of Oshawa’s booming University District and the building is chock-full of amenities, including a gym, theatre and guest suite.

A 2-bedroom townhouse in Uxbridge sold April 21 for just $475,000, with the property boasting an open concept main room and oversize bedrooms. The unit also features laminate flooring and is fully accessible.

At #4 on the list is the second condo at &11 Rossland Rd. E. in Whitby, with this 2-bedroom, 2-bath penthouse suite (#1201) with plenty of updates selling April 25 for $522,000 – just slightly over asking.

Number #5 is the second unit in north Oshawa, with a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit at 2550 Simcoe St. N (#408) selling April 10 fort $545,000.
