Gunpoint home invasion robbery arrests in Mississauga and Brampton.

Four teenage boys from Brampton, including a 14-year-old, are facing robbery charges in connection with a pair of gunpoint home invasions that terrorized victims in Mississauga and Brampton in the overnight hours.

Peel Regional Police said in a news release issued Wednesday the armed home invasions happened three hours apart in the early morning hours of June 9. In both cases, they added, luxury vehicles were stolen from the driveways of the homes.

In the first robbery, four culprits burst into a home in the area of McLaughlin and Derry roads in Mississauga at about 1:30 a.m. and went upstairs where they confronted a sleeping person in a bedroom.

Police said one of the intruders “pointed a firearm and demanded keys to the vehicle parked in the driveway.” The culprits then obtained the keys “forcefully,” investigators added, and fled in the luxury vehicle.

About three hours later, police allege the same foursome targeted a Brampton home in similar fashion in the area of Mississauga Road and Financial Drive, just to the northwest of the first targeted home.

Again, four culprits armed with what was believed to be a gun forced their way into the home, confronted a person inside and demanded the keys to a luxury vehicle that was parked in the driveway, police said.

They then fled the area in the stolen vehicle.

Police said none of the victims suffered any physical injuries in the robberies.

A short time later, patrol officers and members of the Peel police tactical squad found four suspects “a short distance away” in Brampton. Three of them had allegedly forced their way into a third home to hide from police.

Four teenage boys, ages 14, 15, 16 and 17, all of Brampton, are each charged with two counts of robbery, two counts disguise with intent and use imitation firearm.

Additionally, three of them are charged with break and enter with intent to commit.

Police said that at the time of his arrest, the 15-year-old was bound by a previous court order stemming from charges of assault and uttering threats. Subsequently, he has also been charged with failing to comply with a release order.

All four were held for bail hearings in Brampton court. The Youth Criminal Justice Act prohibits their names from being made public.

Investigators said more charges could be laid as the case moves forward.
