Attempted murder suspect still on the run after stabbing in Brampton

The suspect in a Brampton stabbing wanted on an attempted murder charge is still on the run, police say.

Peel Regional Police say the stabbing happened in the early morning hours on Saturday near Haggert Avenue and Denison Avenue in Brampton.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene they found an adult male who had been stabbed. No other details about the victim have been released by police.

The injured man was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition and police said they were looking for a suspect, 35-year-old Brampton man James Shipley-Dean.

Now police say Shipley-Dean is wanted for one charge of attempted murder. Investigators are urging the accused to seek legal counsel and turn himself in.
