An airline is offering $109 flights from an Ontario airport.

Low-cost Icelandic airline Play, which operates out of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, is offering a special deal to mark World Tourism Day.

Since 1980, the United Nations World Tourism Organization has celebrated World Tourism Day as a global awareness initiative to highlight the importance of tourism in promoting cultural understanding, economic growth, and sustainable development.

The sale on flights from Hamilton to Europe is offered between Sept. 26 to Oct. 3, Play said in a press release.

Direct flights to Reykjavík, Iceland start at $109 and flights to Europe via Iceland starting at $139. The prices are for one-way flights.

“Whether you’re looking to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Paris, explore the scenic landscapes of Iceland, or experience the rich history of Amsterdam, these deals make it easier than ever to turn your travel dreams into reality,” Play said.

The flights are for travel between Oct. 13 to 27, Nov. 10 to Dec. 15, and Jan. 12 to March 30, 2025.

The flights via Iceland are for London (London Stansted Airport), Copenhagen (Copenhagen Airport Kastrup), Paris (Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport), Amsterdam (Amsterdam Airport), Berlin (Berlin Brandenburg Airport), and Dublin (Dublin Airport).

The deal applies to the Basic Bundle flights, which allows Canadian travellers to fly with one small personal item in their discount fare and also includes all mandatory taxes, fees, and carrier charges.

Additional baggage and other flight perks will cost travellers extra.
