5 most expensive homes come with waterfalls and private pools in Mississauga

Five of the most expensive homes sold in Mississauga last month all went for over $2 million.

The real estate market has been sluggish.

Despite a Bank of Canada interest rate cut, the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board said home sales in June declined 16.4 per cent from last year.

The average selling price in the Greater Toronto Area was down 1.6 per cent year-over-year to $1,162,167.

But some buyers can afford to spend more. Real estate brokerage Zoocasa just released its list of the most expensive homes sold in Mississauga in June.

Here are five of the most expensive homes sold:

845 Bexhill Rd.

This four-bedroom, three-bathroom bungalow is located in Lorne Park. It is surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees, according to the listing.

It boasts 1,400 square feet of living space on the main level and over 1,000 square feet in the basement.

This place sold for $2,175,000 on June 20, under the $2,349,999 asking price.

Another Lorne Park home, this place has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The home features hand-scraped hardwood and porcelain floors, and an open-concept main level. The family room has a modern, linear gas fireplace.

The backyard features an outdoor kitchen, pool and saltwater hot tub.

This home sold for $2,280,000 on June 19, under the $2,399,000 asking price.

This four-bedroom, five-bathroom home features over 5,000 square feet of custom living space in the heart of Mineola West. There are hardwood floors, an open-concept kitchen, a large and private office and a formal dining area.

The primary bedroom offers a five-piece ensuite bathroom, a walk-in closet and a private balcony overlooking the backyard garden. There is a small waterfall in the backyard.

This place sold for $2,800,000 on June 12, under the $2,825,000 asking price.

This four-bedroom, seven-bathroom home has a gated entry and a long private drive. The home features include a grand hall with traditional oak wainscot walls and French doors with the fireplace in the centre.

The basement has a home gym, two fireplaces, a family room and games room. The backyard boasts sitting areas, an in-ground pool and large mature trees.

This place sold for $3,705,000 on June 13, over the $3,400,000 list price.

The most expensive home on this list sold for nearly $5 million. This custom-built home in Mineola sits on a large wooded lot. It features over 8,500 square feet of total living space with open-concept formal living and dining rooms, a family room with a balcony and main floor office with a separate entrance.

The primary bedroom has a five-piece ensuite bathroom and a walkout to a balcony overlooking the backyard.

The basement has a large recreation room with a full wet bar.

This place sold for $4,900,000 on June 15, under the $5,388,000 list price.
