A Brampton woman has been arrested for the third time for impaired driving in less than two years.

Police Regional Police say that on May 30, a vehicle crashed into the front of a house in Mississauga. However, as officers arrived, the driver fled the scene.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the residents.

Nearly two weeks later, on June 13, investigators from the Safer Roads Team identified and arrested the suspect.

Susanna Cherian, 32, of Brampton, has been charged with multiple driving offences including dangerous operation, obstructing police, impaired operation, failing to remain at the scene, failing to provide required information, and breach of probation.

“This was her third arrest in the last 15 months for similar offences,” police say.

The locations of the two other impaired driving incidents have not been indicated by police.

Cherian was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.

Authorities have not shared an image of the accused to the public.
